(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My little brother's friend walked into the room and saw me playing Black Ops, and immedietly knew that it was Black Ops. He's a nine year old kid, and knew the game just from the party screen. He says he plays it online on Xbox at his house all the time...

How young are these kids getting? I remember back in the days of SOCOM, I was one of the youngest players online at 13, and now at 18, I'm probably 4-5 years older than the average gamer of Call of Duty. These kids should not be playing this game at all, especially when they aren't even in double digit ages yet. Their immaturity and youth is getting pathetic.

I've played FPS games since I was 10. It was a computer game called warrock. But it didn't affect me or anyone else. I told people I was 16 and people actually said I was mature for my age...I probably just wanted to fit in haha. Tried to use a mic as little as possible though.

If anything, video games have got me interested in war history more than anything. I'm not violent or anything. I could actually understand it was only a game. But I hate the 10year olds who think there super BA and try to argue with you even though they have no idea what there talking about or even a smidge of common sense. I like to keep an open mind about younger kids though. As I know when I was younger I hated when people stereotyped me just because I was young. So it'd be hypoctrical of me to do the same to them.

Edit: 500th post!

Im 14 atm, 15 in July, pretty mature and my voice is deeper than about 60% of the people i meet online lol. Also going on the fact that when random tubes decide they want to flame me for just joining the lobby i manage to completely outsmart them and tear them to pieces with a few words, im guessing im also smarter and more mature than about 60% of the community. Probably due to the reason that this thread was started; they are all stupid 9 year olds who cry when they have to kiss their 2 kill streak goodbye because its supper time.

I completely understand how incredibly annoying these little kids can be and why they shouldnt be playing the game, but i think that a little slack should be cut for folks like me who are still "Under-age" as it is so called but mature enough to play the game while realising that it is just a game. It's a bunch of pixels on a TV screen, its made for fun, not to control your life.

I met a 7 year old, playing with his dad. They were using split-screen.. His child had the microphone and well... I'll just leave it at that.

I understand what your saying... that immature, young kids should not be playing a game such as call of duty. But, I feel it, as long as they are mature about it, that 13 years old should be the average age. I mean, your 18... seriously? And you have enough time to care this much about a video game... priorities much? Where as a 13 year old should have plenty of time on his hands which he should be enjoying going on psn or xbl and playing around with some friends.

Just my take on it.

Climbing up the ladder
I'd say that you should be at least 14 and sound like you've hit puberty, if you are below 14 you should never use a mic, and if you are 10 or below, don't play the game.

There's barely any blood in CoD games and what they see in games is rarely as bad as in TV's. Most of those kids have already heard what's being said from their friends or family anyway, I've seen 5-6 year old kids playing GTA games and so far they don't seem to have grown up any differently than they would, except that they had fun when playing the game.

Also I've seen certain kids be mature at a young age and playing online and interacting with a lot of old people online over CoD believe it or not helps them. Now when the child is a spoiled **** then you're shit out of luck, those need to be killed.
