(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); You will need modern warfare 2 to do this fix it may work with world at war but not sure.

1. Load up modern warfare 2 and go to the multiplayer screen where you see your nat type which it should say is open.

2. Press eject on your ps3 so the game ends and goes to ps3 main screen and take out modern warfare 2 and put in black ops and load up the game. Do not turn off or reset your ps3 after ejecting modern warfare 2.

3. If you check your nat in black ops now in the option screen it should stay open and you can play unhindered

This worked fine for me and I assume its something to do with the fact that all the latest call of duty games use the same ports and modern warfare 2 opens up these ports so that black ops can use them once you swap over.

This seems to be a effective temporary fix until treyarch can get this problem sorted.

I hope this work for you's. Rep+ If i helped :derp:

(I think you need your Mw2 Nat Type on Open to work)

I've permanently opened my port back when MW2 came out and it's always open for Black Ops as well.

Nat type has nothing to do with just the games that you play

NAT is not tied to games, but to the console.

I mean, you could open MW2's ports (maybe, IDK) but why not just put PS3's on DMZ or open it's ports...

I'm not trying to flame, this just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I read it wrong.

Put your Ps3 on a DMZ. Open its ports, etc. etc.

For me, I have a strict router, and the second I secure my connection so others can't use it, it went from Open to Strict.

Sorry, but the games you play don't affect your NAT type. Unfortunately.

My ports were closed since CoD4. Bought a new modem last week. OPEN Happy

You guys don't know how you take having open NAT for granted. Try going three years without it.
