(COPIED AND PASTED FOR YOUR BENIFIT)
I hosted a sh*t load of GPD Modded Lobbies on monday for my friends.... stupidly on my main account.
After...
I was banned from black ops on tuesday 7th in the morning. I received this message all the time.
THE CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS SERVER IS NOT AVALIBLE AT THIS TIME ETC ..
I had this message for about 2 days, so I was afraid that I might not have a 48 hour ban but a permanent ban. So i rang Activision support line (its in the black ops booklet) to find out what's going on, they took my name, external ip address, console serial number, game version number, nat type, email & gamertag and said i should recieve an update shortly.
At about 6pm today (Thursday 9th) when trying to sign on to black ops i got this message.
(GT) has been temporarily banned from playing Call of Duty: black ops server etc. Then below it says: 32 hours remaining before access is granted
so i'm only TEMPORARILY BANNED ... so basically its gonna take over 3 days to get unbanned.
eventually you'll get the normal message back like the first one
THE CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS SERVER IS NOT AVALIBLE AT THIS TIME ETC ..
so i'm guessing when its saying servers are unavailable they are still reviewing your gamertag, then they will issue you a temp ban, some people might not be lucky to find out when you'll recieve the 48hr ban, but its def temp. remember that i didn't join modded lobbies, i actually hosted loads on this account, which is far worse offence, yet still only a 48 hour ban. which proves that all GPD mod bans are temporary.
This is my 1st ban so i don't know what happens to people who have had repeated offenses, but most likely you will still only have a temp ban.
AND yes you will be reset, my mates checked my gamertag & saw that i was.
HOPE THIS HELPS GUYS.
