Well, I wouldn't think that releasing the map pack earlier for XBOX was a step in the right direction. It's as if they are just completely ignoring us! I thought that treyarch were the saviours, leaving behind everything bad with MW2. But no, they are so greedy for more and more money, they accept ridiculous amounts of money and give them the exclusivity of an early map pack. A few days, maybe even a week after and I wouldn't mind, but a month? When the MW2 map packs finally came out for ps3, I was bored with them before I had even played with them, because of all the gameplays I had already seen of them. And there was me thinking treyarch cared for the community.

If YOU want to help make a difference then tweet @JD_2020 and ask him to release them on the same day. And don't whine and say that he can't make a difference. He is the COMMUNITY MANAGER. His job is to find out what the community wants, and I'm pretty sure that is clear by the last ps3 rant thread on here.

PS A common argument by XBOX users was that they paid £40 a year for XBOX Live, but surely that means that PS Plus users should also get the game early. That would give me more of an incentive to buy it.

PPS I am not hating on XBOX users, it is not your fault or your problem.

I have not seen a thread talking about the problems and frustrations about the map packs being released earlier on xbox, if there is then I apologise

Im a ps3 user and I know this sucks but xbox and call of duty had a 3 year contract where xbox paid more money to get stuff before everyone else.... the same thing happened on mw2

Microsoft uses the money from XBL subscriptions to buy exclusive content. Just because you have Ps Plus does not mean your going to get the same material. Microsoft paid for exclusivity, the customer does not 'pay' to get it early.

Another moron thinking it's Teryarch who doesn't want to release the map pack at the same time. I really hate it when they announce new map packs if only because of the flood of dumb threads that follow.

map packs are first with xbox because they have a contract with activision /facepalm it ends in 2012 i think, or 2011

Activision has a deal with Microsoft until 2012 to get the map packs a month earlier. They'll probably resign in 2012.

I think you have a good argument but the points have flaws. I feel the same way you do. I feel cheated. but you have to realize;
If 3arch was to release early for the PS3 that it would go against M$'s contract with Activision for early rights to content. Meaning that M$ could sue and bankrupt Activision.

Another thing to realize is Activision is greedy just like EA games, they are big money hungry organizations who honestly could care less about the customer. So this means that if Activision wants 3arch to move on from black ops support that they have no choice but to do so.

Basically I would not bash 3arch as much as I would Activision.
