(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok there are a lot of threads relating to the LAN XP glitch although some have a bit of truth to them here are the steps in the correct way to do it and make it stick NOTE* Doing any of these steps in the wrong way will result in this not working FACT!
ok here are the steps A_FAST_BLACK_GUY is going to record a vid on this to show it is 100% working

1. Run Elite Mossy's Patch Blocker and have your stats reset
2. Turn off the patch blocker and re-install the patch
3. Start up the game and head into multiplayer
4. Navigate to LAN and setup the game, instruction here steps 1-3 + Note ---->>You must login or register to view this content.
5. Play through untill you hit level 50 with no XP left for prestiging
6. End the game by planting the bomb etc.
7. Go into player match and prestige your online account
8. Complete steps 4 - 7 again untill you are for ex. 10th prestige
9. As normal prestige you will be for ex. 11th prestige level 1, now just sit tight and wait for the contracts to update in your area. Ok now you want to head back to the main menu out of multiplayer and head back in again.
10. Once you enter playstaton network you will see that you are rank 1 then an error should come up saying that the persistant rank data has been corrupted and it will put you back to level 50 the prestige before for example 11th prestige you wll be 10th prestige level 50.
11. Now all you have to do is prestige again and carry on playing your new level and prestige has stuck.

NOTE* You cannot play any online games at all untill you have finished step 11. you must also remain in multiplayer untill you have complete step 11.failure to do any of this will result in a waste of time as the level and prestige will not stick

EDIT** Ok it has been confirmed that once you are at required prestige, you can simply go into an online match and once in, just simply pull the power cord from the back of the PS3, when you go back onto multiplayer, your level and prestige will have stuck ENJOY

Any proof? Lots of people have wasted a lot of time trying to do this, And it doesnt always seem to stick

yeah i'm hopefully going to get a video up in the nxt two days or so waiting for it to be recorded as i dont know how to record, so as soon as thats done i will add it. if you can suggest how i can record i will likely put up a video later today showing it in full steam.

You need a Capture card. If you don`t have this or a HQ/HD Camera is hard to record from the Ps3/Xbox. What you can do is post a request, asking for someone to do it

where exactly are my steps wrong, cos i dont see it, i followed those steps exactly and poof... worked for me, the way it sticks isnt by "pluggung the power cord out of the back" or whatever, the way it sticks is by the servers creating a backup of a players rank data. This is done once per day, whatever level the player is when it creates the backup thats the level and prestige the servers store. So if i was say 14th prestige level 1 at say 9.00pm and the backup is created at 9.30pm, that means whatever level and prestige i am when the backup is stored thats the level i will be when i turn the ps3 back on therefore exploiting the servers. so please im facinated to know exactly which steps are wrong go ahead and point them out

I'll try this with a new account soon, I don't want to get my main account reset just find that it don't work lol. I'm not saying that it doesn't, it just needs some proof and/or verification from another member.

I got it to stick first try. I just reset account, played to 50maxed out lan, backout of lan with with 2nd controller then back to player match with 1st controller. Spent all my money and prestige. Played up to level 7 and spent all my money again and let it sit for 2 hours cause i had to go to dinner. It was only 730PST when I left for 2 hours and was back on at 930PST. So first game back in the middle of the game I pulled the plug on my PS3. Turned it back on and I was prestige 1 level 7 with great stats.

I'm gonna try this.. cheers if it works haha
