I found a easier way to do it.
Do everything the same but instead of joining a recent invite, accept an old invite, Press O(PS3) to cancel when joining more then 3 times quickly, after that, press 3 times [] and go to buy and equip and there you go..

So you can do it just by accepting a previous invite, one that is old?

The older the invite is, in my opinion the better it is
