When you get banned + reset it keeps your classes.. Happened to me.

i think he meant that b4 u prestige u keep save ur gamefile in like lets say USB.. u prestige then u delete black ops game file and load the old one with ur USB...

ok heres my view of this, the classesthat you have made are stored on the servers & the save game profile. so what he is saying is before you prestige, back up your save game, then enter prestige and quit game, overwrite your save game profile with the back up you just made. this should then once gettingto level 4 show your old classes again? a possible tut for this:

1.on XMB go to the game section and then saved data utility (PS3)

2. copy the blackops saved game to a usb stick.

3. start up black ops, on multiplayer click player card and prestige.

4. exit blackops, and go back to the saved data utility and choose the usb device and copy the save back to your ps3.

5. go online and rank til you unlockreate a class and your old classes *may* be there
