You need to find any area with the mystery box and open it. Once the gun is fully loaded wait till it's about to go back in and the box is about to close. Then right before it closes shoot a crossbow bolt inside it and even after it blows up the zombies wont move for 15 more seconds. It's kinda a useless glitch but just wanted to point this out if no one knows about it.
