(w/ 1st CONTROLLER) PLAYERCARD> EDIT PLAYERCARD
(should be where buy new backgrounds)YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MOVE AROUND WITH GUEST.
PRESS O/B WITH YOUR 2ND CONTROLLER
YOU SHOULD GET AN ERROR/GET BOOTED.
W/ UR 1ST CONTROLLER GO TO PLAYERCARD>EDIT PLAYERCARD (SEE DIFF. BG's AGAIN), CHANGE YOUR BG WITH 2ND CONTROLLER > O/B SAVE AND EXIT (w/2nd) (BUT STAY ON PLAYERCARD)
LOAD A GAME (CUSTOM GAME MODE/NOT THEATER FILE) FROM YOUR FILE SHARE.(w2ND) (SHOULD GET ERROR)
PRESS B/O (W 1ST CONTROLLER)
NOW SWITCH TO PRIVATE MATCH (SHOULD GET ERROR)
ADD 1ST CONTROLLER AGAIN (X)
GO TO SPLIT SCREEN w BOTH START MATCH/END MATCH
NOW O/B GO TO MAIN MENU, TURN OFF 2ND CONTROLLER
PLAY 1 MATCH TO SAVE.

This is very important as I was not able to do it earlier. after putting a custom mage in the file share and followed the steps it worked for me. thank you very much sir i +rep

I think this would be a better tutorial though:
Step 1: Have both controllers connected
Step 2: 1st Controller Click playercard-->Edit playercard---> Titles/Backgrounds
Step 3: 2nd Controller Scroll through titles/backgrounds
Step 4: 2nd Controller Click O/B (circle/back)
YOU SHOULD GET AN ERROR/GET BOOTED.
Step 5: 1st Controller Click playercard-->Edit playercard---> Titles/Backgrounds (basically step 2 again)
Step 6: 2nd Controller Change your background/title and click "Save and Exit"
Step 7: 2nd Controller (Still on playercard) Load a Custom Game Mode from "My File Share"
(SHOULD GET ERROR)
Step 8: 1st Controller Click O/B (circle/back)
Step 9: 2nd Controller Switch lobbies to private match.
(SHOULD GET ERROR)
Step 10: 1st Controller Add 1st controller (click X)
Step 11: Go to Local --> Split-Screen
(make sure both controllers are connected)
Step 12: Start and End the match
Step 13: Back out to the main menu (TV/Chair) and turn 2nd controller off
(to make sure it sticks play an online match)
