Yes they console banned everyone who did the 15th prestige glitch or had a 15th prestige glitched account on their PS3. There is currently no way around the ban. And yes console ban is banning your whole system from playing Black ops online.

If u get a different ps3 (new or used)... That did not have a hacked account on it, and that is not banned, then yes u can play on any account that u have that is legit.. I can confirm this, my friend gave me his broken ps3, I fixed it, and bam, no more ban, and I am playing online with my legit account..

Well basically when you get a message saying "Servers are down" and your friends are playing then your banned.
But, there is only one way to find out.
From Main Menu> Multiplayer>Options>Hit select on controller.
If its A.B.C.D.E.F.G.H.I.J then your not banned.
If its A---D----G---J (or anything without all the letters and dashes then you are BANNED!)

somebody has been doing some investigating XD.
i hope treyarch did all this as just a warning, and they will unban us all and pretty much say. last warning! because i knew about the hacking and stuff but i never really imagined what it would be like to see "warning, your console has been banned" i nearly fainted
