Well, I've seen a couple threads asking about perks and giving out reccommendations so...I made this thread in order for you to post your questions and answers and keep this clean and easy for all of you to find what you come for.
Well here are my thoughts, tips, reccommendations about the perks and how to get them to Pro easily. Take into account that they will all be available after you reach level 4 to Create-A-Class.
Please do not flame if you don't agree with me, remember that everyone is free to give out it's own opinion and this is mine.
[multipage=Perk 1 Category]
Perk 1 includes:
Lightweight, Scavenger, Ghost, Flak Jacket and Hardline
-
Lightweight:
Lightweight multiplies movement speed by 1.07.
Its pro version eliminates falling damage.
To get it to Pro you will need:
* Escape Death - Escape death 5 times after being shot.
* Melee Kills - Get 15 melee kills.
* Offense Medal - Get 10 offense medals by killing enemies near their objectives
Escape death, well quite simple to do it, you can do it in the first 6 levels, get shot (not badly) and run out, or take cover, it can even be done in a match.
Melee kills, you can combine this with the ninja perk so you are more silent. A good map to do this is Cracked (at least it was for me)
Offense medal, you might get his one hard to do but with these tips you will do just fine: Killing an enemy while carrying the flag will grant an offense medal.
Killing an enemy while they are near or at their captured point on Domination.
Killing enemies near the bomb in demolition while on the attacking side.
Tips from a player to easily achieve Melee Kills:

Combine with marathon for super fast and use Ballistic Knife.
-
Scavenger:
Scavenger allows the player to see and pick up ammo bags left by dead players. These bags replenish one magazine of ammunition for each weapon the player carries and one lethal grenade.
Its pro version allows the player to pick up one tactical grenade with each bag (excluding the Willy Pete smoke grenade) and spawns the player with maximum ammo.
The only piece of equipment it does resupply is the camera spike but it is pretty much useless as you toggle between its view and the mini-maps using the equipment button. It also replenishes crossbow bolts for the crossbow.
On my personal opinion, this is pretty usefull in classes like SMGs that can run out of ammo easily, and assault rifles.
To get it to Pro you will need:
* Resupplies — Resupply 150 times while using Scavenger.
* Grenade Kills — Get 5 Lethal Grenade kills with a resupplied lethal grenade.
* Kill Count — Get 5 kills without dying, 5 times.
Resupplies, just go around the map collecting the packs, you don't need to kill them, even you and your friends drop those packs, so just play around and you will get them in no time!
Grenade Kills, easy, you have two choices. Either kill yourself together with the enemy, or throw alternate grenades to spawn spots and even use the spy planes and blackbirds from your team to put them in the right place at the right time.
Kill count, is easy, use the spy planes and blackbirds from your team and some skills.
-
Ghost:
Ghost prevents players from being shown on radar when an enemy Spy Plane is in the air.
Its Pro version prevents Sentry Guns and Attack Helicopters from attacking the player. In addition, it removes the red box that marks targets for Valkyrie Rockets, the Chopper Gunner, and the Gunship. It also prevents the player from glowing white in the Infrared Scope. As a final effect, the red cross-hair and name do not appear when an enemy aims at a player using Ghost Pro.
Contrary to the in-game description of Ghost, neither Ghost nor Ghost Pro will protect the player from an Blackbird, Dogs, or from the Motion Sensor.
On my opinion I really like this perk I use it (obviously) on Sniper rifle and sometime on SMGs to do quick silent kills.
To get this perk on Pro you will need:
* Concealed Kills – Kill 20 enemies while they have a Spy Plane or Blackbird active.
* Destroy Aircraft – Destroy 30 aircraft with any non-Killstreak launcher.
* Destroy Sentry Gun – Destroy 1 Sentry Gun.
Someone on this forum explained it very well and I coincide with him:

ok first thing I do after I've prestieged and I have enough points to buy the ghost perk is I jump straght into the barbones classic playlist and I choose classic tdm
why you might ask?, well in this playlist everyone is forced to use the killstreak's 3,5 and 7 so everyone on the oposing team use's a spy plane as a ks in diffrent gamemodes like tdm, hq, dom a lot of people use the rc cars as the 3rd killstreak so they don't come up as often as they do like they do in this gamemode seriously it woin't take you long to do the first 2 challenges
the last challenge is to destroy a senetry gun
most people find this one really hard to get as they complain about not many other players not using them in there k/s
but the solution is simple earn one yourself
after you've earnt it throw it somewere on there side of the map and camp the area and wait for them to take it.
I then follow the guy caustiously so I can see were he put's I then take it out
I allways use use hacker aswell incase I die when following the guy so you can see were he put's it on the map also tomahawks take out senetry's aswell so if you have a good aim you can take it out from a distance.
-
Flak Jacket:
Flak Jacket reduces all incoming explosive damage to 35% of its original value (9% in hardcore game modes). In addition, non-direct impact explosives will never deal more than 75 damage (22.5 in hardcore game modes); this means that a player at full health will not be killed by many explosives.
Its pro version reduces all fire damage to 5% of its original damage, making the Flamethrower and Napalm Strike nearly worthless against the player. As an added effect, any thrown grenade picked up by the player will have its fuse set to 2.5 seconds, allowing safe grenade returns.
To be sincere, I've never used this perk, I don't know why, but it just seems silly to me. So this information have provided by a friend to me because I have no idea of this perk.
Well, to get this Perk to Pro you will need:
* Protected – Survive 10 explosions while using Flak Jacket.
* Demolished – Plant or defuse 10 bombs in Demolition, Sabotage, or Search & Destroy.
* Throwbacks – Throw back 5 enemy Frag grenades.
Protected, very easy can be done fast.
Demolished, this is easy to do I reccommend to go on Demolition as it is more easy to complete.
Throwbacks, on my opinion this seems to be the most difficult out of the three of them.
A tip by a player to easily achieve Protected:

-
Hardline:
Hardline reduces all killstreak requirements by one.
Its pro version allows the player to change the killstreak that comes with the Care Package. It can only be done once, and will always change its content.
In my opinion, I've used this Perk but I found out that is not very useful, it might be for new to CoD but for people coming from MW2 and MW are known to this Perk and might understand me that if you have skill, one less killstreak it's not much and you can put another very useful perk that can get you a lot more kills, in this case Ghost
* Share Packages – Share 10 Killstreak reward crates with teammates.
* Multiple Killstreaks – Earn 7 killstreaks in one match while using Hardline.
* Killstreak – Get 7 kills without dying in one match.
Share packages, this is easy I believe that the only hard thing in this challenge is to get 5 kills hahahaha.
Multiple Killstreaks, very, very easy, Spy Plane, Sam Turret, Sentry Gun killstreaks. Plus, you can use this to do the first challenge.
Killstreak, just one match...you will do it, do not look TO do it, just play the game and you will have it done in no time.
Tip from a player to easily achieve Share Package:

should mention that sam turret, care package, sentry and valkyrie rockets all count as share packages. so if you put on 3 of those you can get that challenge done in one game. :y:
[multipage=Perk 2 Category]
Perk 2 includes:
Hardened, Scout, Steady Aim, Sleight of Hand, Warlord
-
Hardened:
Hardened increases the surface penetration for any guns fired by the user.
Its pro version increases the damage of bullets against killstreaks by 25% and reduces the effects of flinching when damaged by 80%.
In my opinion this perk is one of the most useful, specially its Pro advantage, a lot of people underestimates this valuable perk.
To get this cool perk to Pro you will need:
* Penetration Kills - Get 10 kills using Hardened and shooting through walls.
* Bullets in Aircraft - Shoot 200 bullets into enemy aircraft.
* Equipment Shot - Destroy 1 piece of enemy equipment through a wall.
Penetration kills, easy to do, it might require a little patience.
Bullets in aircraft, well not hard to do. You can take the M60 (Light Machinegun) with extended mags (200 bullets) and shot to the enemy air killstreak.
Equipment shot, combine this perk with hacker to make this task easier.
-
Scout:
Scout doubles the hold breath time for scoped weapons, allowing 8 seconds of no idle sway.
Its pro version halves the drop and raise times for all weapons, effectively doubling the speed at which the user switches weapons. This also applies to weapons picked up from dead players, and changing to equipment and grenades.
Also, you might all not know that this perk also shortens the time you can call killstreaks like Spy Plane, Counter Spy Plane, Dogs, Blackbird, Chopper Gunner, Gunship. (How many of us got killed why calling any of these killstreaks? and when killed said "If I had just 2 more seconds I would've rape your ass noob" lol)
On my personal experience I just use it in Sniper obviously, although many people do not use this perk and uses Sleight of Hand I must tell that you can find this perk pretty more useful in some occasions, but as I well said before, everyone has its own opinion and own gaming style.
To get this perk to Pro you will need:
* Secondary Kills — Get 50 kills with secondary weapons.
* One Shot Kills — Get 50 One Shot Kill medals.
* Headshots — Get 30 headshot kills.
Secondary kills, just run around (it is easier on Jungle) with Dual Wield - Python, you will get this after 6-10 matches of using just secondary and the Scope Perk Class.
One shot kills, now that the patch 1.06 has modified the Sniper class to make the One Shot Kill to be from the waist and above, before it was a little up from the chest and the head only, it will result this challenge more easier.
Headshots, as you have the +8 more seconds of holding breath will help you to do this in no time, also have in mind that the Variable Zoom attachment will help you lots to achieve this.
Tips from a player to easily achieve One Shot Kills:

You can use Stakeout for the lulz .
-
Steady Aim:
Steady Aim reduces the size of the hipfire cross-hairs to 65% of their original size.
Its pro version reduces the fire delay after sprinting and the knife lunge recovery time to 60% of their original values. Note that the actual knife lunge animation is not shortened.
In my personal opinion I've try this but just on the SMGs as they result to have lot of recoil and when using this is really precise, you notice the difference instantly.
To get this perk to Pro you will need to do:
* Quick Melee – Melee two enemies consecutively within 5 seconds.
* Sprint Kills – Get 100 kills after sprinting.
* Hip Fire Kills – Get 150 hip fire kills using Steady Aim.
Quick melee, you just need to find two campers, a easy map to do this is in Nuketown in the windows the usual camping spot as you have an overview of 70% of the map.
Sprint kills, you will get it just by playing.
Hip fire kills, the same as the challenge before, just play, play and play. Not hard to do perk at all.
Tips from a player to easily achieve all these challenges:

I used SPAS-12 with Marathon & lightweight for faster pro.
Hip Fire Kills – Get 150 hip fire kills using Steady Aim.
I used SPAS-12 to this too, i recommend to use shotgun+ Marathon & lightweight for faster Steady Aim pro .

Sleight of Hand:
Sleight of Hand decreases the reload time for all weapons by 50%. Its pro version decreases the time it takes to aim down sights on all weapons (excluding sniper rifles as they don't want anybody to quickshooting)
On my personal experience this is the best Perk for Assault rifles, SMGs and shotguns. Maybe for some others the LMG too but with them I use the hardened Perk.
To get this perk to Pro you will need to do:
* Aiming Kills: Get 150 kills when aiming down sights.
* Reload Kills: Kill an enemy within 5 seconds of reloading 30 times.
* Fast Hands Kills: Reload and finish off the enemy you wounded 10 times.
Aiming kills, easy to do, just play after almost 8-11 matches you will get it done.
Reload kills, easy to do, you can use the masterkey attachment as it realoads after every shot you will get it really soon, I've try this.
Fast hands kills, this is the first challenge you will achieve of these three as you need to finish off an enemy, the second chance perk counts towards this so, as everyone is using second chance, mostly noobs, you will see this challenge done pretty soon

.

Warlord:
This perk allows you to add an extra attachment to your weapon. Its Pro version allows you to have one more of each grenade (Lethal and Tactical), excluding the Willy Pete.
Nevertheless there are a few exceptions in the combinations of attachments and these are (for the ones I've found out):
If you have masterkey, grenade launcher or flamethrower you cannot equip any of the other two.
Obviously you can use one sight.
Obviously you cannot combine dual mags and extended mags.
Obviously Dual wield cannot be combined with rapid fire or grip as you are not playing to be Rambo :p
And last of all (told by a friend is I rarely use this perk with SMGs) Rapid fire is unusable with Ext. Mags or Dual Mags.
In my classes I just use this perk in one of my two Assault rifle classes, the other goes with Sleight of Hand
To get this perk to Pro you will need:
* Two Attachment Kills - Get 150 kills with a weapon with 2 attachments.
* Grenade Kills - Get 10 Frag or Semtex kills.
* Grenade Multi-Kill - Get a multi-kill with a Fragmentation grenade or Semtex.
Two attachment kills, just play, not too much to tell about it. A good combination to try out would be Red Dot Sight and Ext Mags or any other attachment you are confortable with.
Grenade kills, I believe you do not need further explanation.
Grenade multi-kill, just have someone (or you) on your team to call Spy Plane or Blackbird and will result very easy to do. Another way (even more faster and easier) throw it to the spawn spots at the begin of a game in maps like Nuketown, Firing Range, Cracked.

Either play Demolition and throw nades near objective or Ground War. I also liked Semtex more than f(r)ag.
[multipage=Perk 3 Category]
Perk 3 includes:
Marathon, Ninja, Second Chance, Hacker and Tactical Mask.
-
Marathon:
Marathon doubles the player's sprint duration.
Its Pro version gives the player unlimited sprint duration.
On my personal experience I just use this perk on SMGs, Assault Rifle and LMGs.
To get this perk to Pro you will need to do:
* 26 Miles: Sprint 26 Miles using Marathon.
* First Blood: Get the First Blood Medal 10 times.
* Captures: In Capture the Flag, get the Flag Capture medal 15 times while using Marathon.
26 miles, combine this with lightweight and you will do it in no time. Just fool around running around in 3 or 5 matches, try not to get killed, if you see someone kill him, end of story.
First blood, I found this really hard to do lol, I got it done in level 38. I saw someone in this forum suggesting to play Search And Destroy or Demolition as they have rounds and you can get the first kill more often.
Captures, I didn't make this as I hate CTF gameplay, but those who love CTF will find this really easy to do.
Tips from a player to easily achieve First Blood:

.
-
Ninja:
Ninja reduces all player noise by 75%.
Its pro version completely silences the player and doubles the volume of enemy sounds.
As many of you might not know, Ninja Pro is not limited to footsteps alone. Ninja Pro silences falling, mantling, weapon switches, equipment deployment, and more. It also more than doubles the sound of enemy footsteps, as well as amplifying enemy callouts, reloading, and equipment deployment.
In my opinion, I use this on my SMG Rush Class and on the Sniper Class.
To get this perk to Pro you will need to do:
* Silenced Kills – Get 150 kills using the Suppressor attachment.
* Back Stabs – Get 5 Backstabber Medals.
* Plants – Plant the bomb 10 times in Demolition, Sabotage, or Search & Destroy.
Silenced kills, as I said all through this thread with this type of challenges, just play.
Backstabs, just find your pray, follow it, knife it.
Plants, I've done this in 2 matches of Demolition, not really hard to do. I reccommend Demolition as you can plant plenty of times and just all your team has bombs and you are either attacking or defending two sites instead of one, I've done this in Summit as you can be sneaky and plant easy. Plus a member of this forum gave out a trick so as not to be detected while planting/defusing.
He explained that you need to put your tactical insertion while doing this then you will appear to be dead.
-Second Chance
Second Chance lasts up to 10 seconds before bleeding out, with the option of taking the "coward's way out" to die prematurely.
Its Pro version gives the players the ability to survive significantly longer (for up to 30 seconds) while in second chance and be revived by other teammates.
I just hate this perk, I think that just gay noobs use it, and that is why I never revive them. The only two I revived was because they killed someone who was about to kill me, just because of that, was like returning a favor. I got killed 5 times due to the fact I was reviving a teammate beside me, so frustrating
.
To get this so-noob-used perk to Pro you will need:
* Kills — Get 10 kills while in Second Chance.
* Revenge — While in Second Chance, kill the enemy who downed you 5 times.
* Headshot — Get a headshot kill while in Second Chance.
Kills, hard, as everyone now is spending a full magazine on you fukers that use this ugly perk (I'm one of those, is just to be sure :bat
Revenge, you will get it sometime.
Headshot, you will get it if you are lucky enough to get to aim to the enemy's head before being perforated with his bullets full of hate because you are using this perk.
Tip from a player to easily achieve Headshot:

(I believe that you have noticed I really hate this perk so much)
-Hacker:
Hacker makes all enemy equipment, Sentry Guns, and SAM Turrets glow bright red. It does not do this for Tactical Insertions.
Its Pro version allows the user to booby trap enemy Care Packages, turn enemy killstreaks (i.e. Sentry Gun and SAM Turret) and equipment friendly, and remain undetected by enemy Motion Sensors.
I just use this on my Demolition Class (Shotgun). Made it to pro in the Prestige 0, I rarely use shotgun now, maybe when I get pissed off that I enter places (knowing there is enemy there) killing anyone in the middle of my lovely Olympia way.
To get this perk to Pro you must do the following:
* Destroys – Destroy 10 equipment or explosives while using Hacker.
* Explosive Kills – Kill 25 enemies with a Claymore or C4.
* Near Equipment Kills – Kill 25 enemies within the radius of your Jammer or Motion Sensor.
Destroys, easy to do, as explained before you can combine this with hardened to simplify your achievement.
Explosive kills, just plant a Claymore behind you, and camp or in a area that has a constant flow of enemies.
Near equipment kills, here just sit down and wait your pray to come in. I reccommend use jammer as this really annoys people (sometimes they might just run away).
A tip by a player to easily achieve Near Equipment Kills:

with hacker pro i got the jammer challenge in 1 game in nuketown, just put it in the middle of the map and run around xD
A tip by a player to easily achieve Explosive Kills:

Explosive Kills – Kill 25 enemies with a Claymore or C4.
Just throw C4 near objective (Demolition, Domination/ Ground war) for easier kills.
-Tactical Mask:
Tactical Mask renders the player immune to the effects of Nova Gas.
Its Pro version reduces the effects of Flashbangs and Concussion Grenades on the player by 90%.
Many people underestimates this perk as they don't know that the Pro version comes with this handy advantage: it also reveals the general direction of any enemies that are hit with the player's Flashbangs or Concussion Grenades via a small yellow directional indicator near the cross-hair.
To be sincere I've never know about it 'till a friend told me to try it and I found that really useful in some occassions.
To get this perk Pro you will need to to this:
* Flash Kills — Kill 20 enemies that are blinded by your Flashbang.
* Concussion Kills — Kill 20 enemies that are stunned by your Concussion Grenade.
* Nova Gas Kills — Kill 20 enemies poisoned by your Nova Gas.
Flash kills, easy, throw flash, annihilate.
Concussion kills, throw concussion, show them who is the boss.
Nova gas, pretty difficult as they can escape easily I reccommend to shot them before and then throw it. Nevertheless, you will get it done in little time.
