So those who haven't updated to 3.56 yet, (DNS FTW) is it possible that you can get unbanned like this too. So lets say, I got a consle banned on 3.55 GeoHot. Then, I delete the game data and upgrade to Kamne's CFW. I don't want to say that this works, mainly because I have not tested it.. It is just an idea. If I could have a tester, that is on any 3.55 CFW. To change to a different CFW, (after deleting BO game data) if it would work. The main point in this post, is to see if there is a way to NOT upgrade to 3.56 retail, but still get unbanned on black ops.


If this idea is already posted, (maybe not in a NEW thread but in some random quoted 13 paged post I apologize.


If your gonna flame go ahead, I'm just putting out an idea. Trying to help those who don't want to upgrade and want to continue using dns 3.55 cfw.

That sounds like a personal problem, MAYBE YOUR NOT DELETING THE GAME DATA RIGHT. Go to your Game Data Utility, then go over black ops and DELETE it.

Then upgrade to 3.56, or whatever and it should work. :carling:

ok i just have a question well ya i have a ps3 jailbroken on CFW 3.55 if i do the system update to 3.56 will i still have a jailbroken ps3..... and be able to do challenge lobbies on all other cod games. Or do i have to have a 3.56 CFW.... someone just let me no

To answer your question good sir, if you update to 3.56 you will lose your ability to change patches. HOWEVER you can still make CL's and feel 1337ish.


You should have a CFW installed, atm. Then you should upgrade to either Retail 3.55 or perhaps a different eh.. type of CFW. Such as Geohot to Kamne's or Kamne's to Geohot.
