Post: Black Ops won't start up after 3.56 OFW Update
02-04-2011, 06:47 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I will try to resume my problem: I installed 3.55 CFW , changed Black Ops EBOOT.BIN (Did a backup of it first) , played on hacked account for 10 minutes , then i got 2 messages:
- Your online stats have been reset;
- The black Ops server is not available....

Then it took me to Lvl.1... Then i restored the EBOOT.BIN to the default file , hoping that it will take me to where i was (5th Prestige)...
Rebooted PS3 , tried to play online, got the same message (The Black Ops server is not available)... Then the 3.56 update went out, i updated the PS3 to 3.56 and now when i try to play Black Ops it's giving me an error: "An error ocurred during the start operation.(80010017)... PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thnx :confused:

Did you try to delete the game data utility? But you are banned from black ops. You will not be able to play online with your console.

That error that you've just said is an irreparable one, and also the main cause is unknown, looks like you're going to have to either buy a new ps3 or boycott sony and buy a 360.

NOOB! he just has to delete then reinstall the patch. I got that error when playing on a modded eboot (in UK) and it wouldn't let me start up black ops with Mods on 3.56 so i installed the patch again

You're the noob here, he cannot even access the xmb its a start up error, dumbass. He either has to send his ps3 to sony for repairs or get a new ps3.

Delete the Game Data Utility of Black ops. Then start up the game and you should be able to play singleplayer until you get a new console.
