(PS3 only)
(US Black Ops only)


Materials:
(most of these can be located via google)
PS3 with CFW GH3.55 installed
MultiMan V1.14 installed download
Black Ops US "BLUS30591" modded PKG download
PS3 FTP server installed
FileZilla (or other FTP client) installed on PC
USB

Tutorial:
Goto PS3
1. Insert BlackOps disc into PS3
2. Start MultiMan
3. Select BlackOps in the menu
4. Press circle to initiate copy of BlackOps disc data onto HDD
5. Wait for MultiMan to finish backing up BlackOps
6. When finished, exit to XMB
Goto PC
7. Copy "UP0001-BLES01031_00-0000000000000000.pkg" into the root of your USB
Goto PS3
8. Install the Package "UP0001-BLES01031_00-0000000000000000.pkg" via "*Install Package Files"
9. Start PS3 FTP server
Goto PC
10. Open FileZilla (or other FTP client)
11. Connect to you PS3 via IP:XXX.XXX.X.XX Port:21
12. Copy the contents of "dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLUS30591/USRDIR" into "dev_hdd0/game/BLES01031/USRDIR"
13. Copy the contents of the included BLACK_OPS folder into "dev_hdd0/game/BLES01031/USRDIR"
14. When finished, close FileZilla (or other FTP client)
Goto PS3
15. Exit to XMB from FTP server
16. Start Black Ops from XMB (without disc)
17. When you load the game it will say there is an update for Black Ops. CANCEL IT! If it updates it will not run!
18. Enjoy playing BlackOps without the disc!


One last thing, if you update to OFW, BlackOps won't run.

Why are you going to call 2 of the 5 people in this thread a noob? And it is easier to just plain run it with any disc in the console. Unless you have a broken BD Drive, this won't really matter to you.

um yes u can run it online with your frends:derp: and you can update

(a little tut) get MultiMan, back up black ops on multiman then when your done back out of multiman take out black ops, get IV2 Patcher run that hit x then wait, back out when your done, put in a disc besides black ops, then start multiman run the back up of black ops, update the 1.07 update then enjoy lol:derp::O

use the search tab next time because i posted how to get black ops running off hdd ages ago and it works online and on the latest patch 1.07 with 1st strike pack aswell

i discovered how to do it myself after fooling around with some files

and to this day i play black ops off the hdd
