As we all know tons of people put X's in their name somehow. For example: xDeeJayx, DeeXJay, or any other variation.
So do any of you know why people started doing it.

Because they think it looks intimidating. When really 80% of the time they're the biggest noobs ever and they just simply suck. Not to mention its annoying and stupid.

No, it was when xStaTiics- started with his name. And lots of people just liked it, I done it also way back. Thought it was pretty cool Cool Man (aka Tustin) :y:

It originated from Straight Edge people. Way back before 360 and ps3.
It mainly got popular from myspace/facebook. All the Straight Edge ppl would put xNamex, which signified they were straight edge.
