I went online today for the first time and sat in a party with a friend talking fir 20 minutes. I went to eat dinner and when I came back it said something about not being able to connect to the Black Ops server. It didn't say that I was banned or anything. I shut off my PS3 and it still gave me the same error. So then I went on my other account and it worked fine. Any ideas?

nopeee, when i got banned it said unable to connect to black ops servers or some shittt like that, they did not tell me how long, then next day it said this console has been permanantly banned from black ops servers, so first they investigated my acc then banned me

this is 100% correct, they are no longer banning consoles just 15th prestige eboot accounts. So your lucky at this point.
