map "Ascension" for Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is my first ever strategy guide and any
constructive criticism is appreciated, but please no flaming.
So lets get started. This guide, with some brains, patience, and will power to push
forward, can land you some high levels. ( in the mid 40's to however high your
dtermination is )
Starting Out:
Now, when you first start out, i recommend you do not buy anything from round 2-5.
Select the window you wish to guard and kill any zombies with your knife to get a
descent amount of points as well as conserving prescious ammo. Once you kill the zombies
at your window, patrol around the spawn room and kill any remaining zombies. Once you
have enough points, open the bottom door and procede to buy the MPL on the wall. The MPL
will give you the firepower to get enough points to buy the doors leading up to the
power room, as well as buy Juggernaut as well as spin the box once or twice. Once you get
to the box, it is essential to spin for the Thundergun. I know the raygun is 1337 , but
the Thundergun is your main priority. Once you spin, focus on getting points to open the
gate outside that leads to PhD Flopper. I like to go outside and sit in the corner next
to the gate, since zombies mainly funnel in a straight line towards you, which equals
headshots and lots of points. Once you get enough points, its time to open the gate and
let the real fun begin.
Final Stand
Once you are outside, sprint up the stairs and get ready to fend for your life. If you
wish to buy PhD Flopper go for it, since you will be spamming alot of nades. The zombies
will start to come fast, so be prepared. The key point in this strategy is to run in a
clockwise motion around the lander-area of PhD flopper. Keep running in a clockwise
manner, and the zombies wont be able to catch up to you. If you want to rack up the
points, chuck grenades at the back wall, and the zombies will get hit by the nades,
giving you lots of points. Once you run out of nades, just buy more while you run around
during your clockwise pattern. Now, each time you make a full circle around the Lander
Area, look down the steps and see if there are still more zombies spawning. If there
are, keep running, if not, get that Thundergun ready. Run around one more time and you
should get an extreme amount of zombies running around right behind you. Run up the
second staircase located directly to the left of the main staircase, get out the
Thundergun, and blast the zombies away. After several rounds, go Pack-A-Punch your
Thundergun, and continue your rampage of zombie destruction.
