i tried it a month ago.. and still banned..

hang on for a second.. im one hundred percent sure that the MAC address is from the wireless G adapter inside the ps3 (this is really easy to get to, its one of the first things you take apart when i took apart my ps3 to fix my YLOD) so what im wondering is would it be possible to just buy a replacement wireless G adapter for the PS3 on ebay or somewhere on the internet (i know you could find them somewhere) and be unbanned.. someone should honestly try this because buying a new wireless G adapter would be a lot cheaper than a new PS3, the only reason that this would not work is if a) the psID is actually banned or b) there is a seperate MAC address for the PS3 itself

wow come on dude a wireless G adapter is the wifi antenna inside your ps3 that lets you pick up wireless hotspots

oh ic i read that and it doesnt really look like its saying that the MAC address is definitely not being banned, just that it probably isnt, so maybe this could still be possible? the only way to know would be to test.. and so is the console ID the same as the PSID everyones been talking about?
