(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, I've been playing COD a great deal more recently, and when I have the funds to purchase an HD PVR, doing commentaries would definitely be something I would consider doing.

However, in saying this, there are THOUSANDS of people out there doing commentaries these days, very few of which become successful on YouTube.

So I figure, while I still have yet to purchase the HD PVR, and there is still quite some time before I will be able to get into making commentaries I will ask here.

What would you be interested in seeing/hearing from a commentator?

There are lots of commentators of lots of different styles, but there has got to be something, or at least some things that people would love to see that hasn't already been done, or at least not often or well.

Post away and hopefully some day your tips will help me out!

Say what you like, there's no point in trying to manufacture yourself into some super commentator. Just be yourself.

Generally what I like to hear is a mix of things, I like "THESANDYRAVAGE" style of talking how much of a bad @$$ he is I mean it's a "BIBLICAL BEATDOWN"..LOL but at the same time I like people to be honest and maybe talk about what's going on in there life you know it's kool to hear from time to time. Then there is the GUNS4HIRE & ONLYUSEMEBLADE of the world which I like because there both honest bring up good points which I seem to agree with a lot and talk about what's going on in there life. So a mix of these 3 things would get you a few views maybe even subs. I'll post some examples below.

Best advise I can give is be very active, upload alot of videos be talking and listen to your subs and don't try be who your not. People will subscribe if they like you not who you try to pretend to be. Also post here in the gameplay section, alot of people visit this forum every day and thats the best way to get your first one thousand subs. If you choose to get in to youtube goodluck Smile

Thank you all for the great responses so far, and I absolutely intend to make use of my own personality and have my own style.

I'm just curious if you feel there is anything that could be done to improve upon the standard commentaries that are done, even with a unique personality.
