I have tried all search options (local, local only and deafult) and all gives me the same old 2 bar nearly every game. My nat type is open and all the ports black ops uses are open. My ISP gives me a 20 mbps download and a 2 mbps upload. Speedtest.net shows about 12-17 mbps download (12 if my family is on) and a constant 2 mb upload. Still my connection sucks balls. Any tips on how to get a better connection? The connection strength is around 95% and black ops tells me my bandwidht is around 6 mbps. WTF is wrong please help me.

I'm wired 2.5mbps with kbps upload speed and I get 3-4bars.

for some reason your starting to make me think your stealing internet from your neighbor

With Ps3 Wireless i Get Like 2 MB download an 1M Upload (3-4 Bars)

With Ps3 Wired- i get like 7 or 8 Mb Download and 1.5 Upload (3-4 bars, Usually Host)

Or MAybe somebody is using your internet or something (Stealing)

Also there are other factors at play

I get 50Mb down and 1 Mb up
BUT that not always due to bottlenecks depends what i connect to. Local uni it 50Mb however to somebody in ireland it 1Mb
Somebody different it 25Mb.
What am saying it may look like you have good net but you don't due to how your ISP works and the net.

or your router is downstairs for instance i have 2-3 bars most games it sucks balls because mxy router it downstairs and im upstairs

It looks as if you are running wireless. By all means, try to run wired. You will be much more successful in improving your connection. Have you made sure your internet is password secured? You could have a greedy neighbor.

I've got 2 bars with 10 mbps internet,but sometimes i am can be host and everyone in game have got 3-4 connection bars.
