On your own screen you will hear a shot and then you throw the tomahawk...
But in the killcam you will only hear a "hitmarker"... aka, A silent shot, Its pretty much the same as in Modern Warfare 2 =D

Its harder to do than in MW2, But what you want to do is Shoot, Quickly Get out ur Tomahawk... if you do it as quickly as in MW2, you wont shoot... so you have to pull out your tomahawk at the exact time.
