I had this error before. What you need to do is delete your patch. Go online, and it will ask you to update your patch. It should freeze. Press 'X' repeatedly while you take out the disc. It should unfreeze. When it starts downloading the patch, put your disc back in.

Worked for me, and haven't had any errors yet.
