Aim assist is on by default but if you have it turned off turn it on.. Basically, when a the enemy runs across your Hud (or person) your character would automatically assist your aiming by turning the screen towards the enemy. But the trick is that you can use aim assist through walls, rocks and other places you can hide behind.

How can this help?
Its like a single man UAV. You do not have to see the guy behind the wall to know he is there. Hope this helps!

The higher the sensitivity the better this trick works.

/facepalm I think your not understanding. Some people do not play with Aim assist on. They turn it OFF. I'll re-edit my post for ya.

The bad thing with the aim assist is sometimes when two guys are running close together is will try to transition between the both of them. But aim assist is useful.

basically one word that describes this is pointless

aim assist is when an enemy runs by your cross hairs, slowing down the cross hairs, turning red, and showing their display name above their head.
also in campaign and (nazi) zombie modes if you pop in out of the iron sights, you snap to the enemy, its helpful when laying down surpressing fire.
