okay i got permission by TheKid420 to post a new update on getting host on black ops. So all credit goes to him for this great tut You must login or register to view this content.

Well if you haven't seen his tut on forcing host with lag switch then go take a look at it before asking stupid question like "how do i make a lag switch" and all that crap. GOOGLE < use that.

its a short simple update nothing special or major

UPDATE:

-When joining the game you want, right when it says``testing matches xx% - 0/xx good games" or whatever % it is.
-Turn on you're lag switch and LEAVE IT ON THAT.
-don't switch it off as in 420's video.
-Takes about 10 seconds of lagging it at that you will be in your own lobby.
-Host Migration will happen. when migrating host just turn on till 4 and then off. no need to turn back on at 5. when i do that it usually lags me out.
-just a easier and simple way of getting you're own lobby instead of having to turn it on then off then on an then off.
INFO:
-After each game to see if you still have host or not.
-Turn on you're lag switch right when it gets to 0 before the game counts down
-When lagging it, if it starts counting down turn off lag switch and you'll still have host.
-If it doesn't count down while lagging then no host and back out.

could i use the standby button on my router to do this or do i have to make a lag switch?

u can do this with out a lag switch its just u have a higher chance of laging out if u dont have a lag switch download net tools 5 open it go to top left click on start then click network tools scroll down intell u see udp flooder or u can use packet generator:black:

I made a new lag switch now every time i get to like 92.4% 0/xx matches found i get waiting for host and i never did it with the old one i also had to do green wire on this one because orange didnt work... also whats the best type of ethernet cable for a lagswitch? i just bout whatever(witch ethernet cable works with the orange and is best to lag with. My new one also signs me off psn EDIT* i got it to work kinda but i still want ethernet cable opinions but now i get host migration ever time about 3 mins into the the game i only leave it on for 9 secs at a time at most

well if u ahve xbox u can just use cain + abel.
for ps3 there are better methods than what ur doing

Honestly the best way to get host and never migrate is to upload a video to youtube. Everbody says it takes to long but theyre chatting s**t.
To find out if your host when it says migrating in the lobby if you stay in the same place.. Your host
If your unsure wait until the game has loaded if it says "waiting for other players" for about half a second to 1 second... Your host, its as simple as that /facepalm

Can you be banned from xbox live for using a lag switch if you only use it to force host and not use it to cheat during game?

idk im guessing not,. i have a ps3 and i lag switched hardcore for 14 prestiges and i got banned for 48 hours but i mostly think its cuz right when i got to prestige 14 i did some boosting. but i doubt u will get banned.
