(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); David Voderhaar, the design director for Call of Duty: Black Ops' multiplayer, has some angry, angry words for gamers who "twit-bomb" him with videos displaying glitches and/or exploits in Black Ops' multiplayer.
On the Call of Duty: Black Ops message board, Voderhaar posted:

"We are disinterested in making mini-celebrities out of douche-bags... I got Twitbombed today from dozens of people with the same two links... What many of these people want is to be Internet nerd famous. I'm not going to make them famous and you shouldn't either. Internet hysteria from normal people is exactly what they want and that's how many people reacted today. You gave them exactly what they want."


Voderhaar went on to say he'd like to permanently ban "anyone who thinks he is clever by abusing any glitches. Good thing I don't have the opportunity that often and we actually have a constructive, measured, and well-managed live ops team."
The miffed design director goes on to promise the company will issue patches and hotfixes for reproducible errors, "just like we said we would," and thanks gamers who sent in "polite, constructive messages without the hysterics."
Granted, It's probably a very stressful time to have anything to do with squashing multiplayer bugs in Black Ops, but still, all those people who are forwarding those videos are (presumably) people who bought the game, and care about the multiplayer mode enough to send you videos of glitches. In other words: Your company's most committed customers. Because I am not afraid of being banned from my own site, I will say this publicly: Chill out, man. Yes, many people on the internet are insufferably, unbearably jerky, but still, gamers who find glitches in your game are doing you a service, even if you don't appreciate the reasons they do it or the "hysteria" they create.
Or to put it another way: If there weren't any glitches in the game, there wouldn't be anything to exploit and no one would complain.

I like 3arc better than IW. But all the glitches I found was because of their crappy porting of the game, so they should be blaming themselves. But I guess I'm a internet fame seeking nerd :fa:

I said IF. Actually it's worse to complain about killstreaks if you had a 3.4 KD.

So either:

a.) you are lying( which I believe since a 3.4 KD on MW2 is difficult or you boosted)
b.) you were really good at the game but like to bitch anyway

ok so if people played other games as much as COD.. then they would find alot of glitches in those games as well.. if you think hit detection is bad.. try playing SOCOM 4 with a Sniper Rifle.. from long range sometimes you can't even get a hitmarker at times, but the person you're shooting at kills you with an assault rifle across the map.. also getting spawned inside of a box really sucks as well..

All I can say is you really can't hate the game but you can hate the players.. because when you're in a lobby with some good players (no glitching, corner/room camping or noob tubing) you usually have a great time playing.. People are more focused on COD because it's the most played FPS out there.. So of course you will find bad things about the game..

Way to stand up for yourself Treyarch. What they did is what I would have done too. Seriously, I'm sick and tired of hearing about how every Cod game that comes out is AMAZING at first, then people just come to hate it and rage at the makers. To you low life's, STFU! You just pressure them into making mistakes, and when they do you all have periods over it.

I never boosted in MW2, I'm not lying, I just didn't enjoy the game after awhile. Sure it was fun at first but a lot of stuff started to annoy me. If you like it great, I just happen to enjoy Treyarch's games more.
