Well it was totally unexpected and could have just been a glitch in the game. Here's what happened.
Bout round 10 or so I started blastin george with the scavenger....then went to upgrade. I brought him down to where revive is and started shooting him opposite side of revive until he came back closer. At this point he was almost dead. Jumped over until I got on the little island at revive. Started blasting him non stop and he started to have the haze over him as if he were dead and just walked up to the ice rock at revive. He stayed there the whole game. He just sat there pounding on his little light pole.
I didn't expect it and I have nothing to record it but I will try it again to see if it sticks or it was just a glitch in the game.
