One thing to remember about Submachine guns is that they're light-weight. This makes all guns within this category easy to carry while running, which means Mobility is 100% across the board. A player who can maintain accuracy and hone long-ranch damage with a submachine gun is tough to stop. While firing, try to steady the gun by gently holding down on the joystick. This should allow you to hit your targets at any distance and with a larger volume of bullets.

Shotguns are notoriously overpowered in gaming, so keep that in mind when facing an enemy wielding one. Remember that Range is your enemy. Running down a long hallway facing an enemy holding an Assault Rifle is probably a mistake... unless, of course, the game is made by Infinity Ward (which this one is not). When reading the stats, keep in mind that although Accuracy and Range are low, it doesn't mean it is a bad weapon... it's simply a shotgun.

Light Machine Guns are heavy. Yes, it's an oxymoron, but true. Remember that your Mobility will be effected while carrying one of these hogs, but the prize for doing so is a fully automatic beast capable of firing a full clip of bullets in seconds... and the clips are notoriously large. However, load times are going to be noticeably slower as well. Find a spot to crouch or go prone and give your enemies a bullet shower.

Basic Killstreak Tactics
Here are some basic tactics to make full use of your killstreaks:
Spy Plane: The spy plane obviously illuminates all enemy positions on the map once called in. Being the lowest and first unlocked killstreak, it is bound to be the most widely used. It is also one of the most valuable. Having a spy plane up gives you and your team the forewarning of enemy locations and is a huge advantage especially if the enemy team doesn`t have one active. You`d be surprised however, how many players waste this tool.
Many players call it in as soon as they receive the reward.This is ok, but only if there are not any other spy planes up for your team. Communicate with your team when you get one. Tell them when you are calling it in so that they don`t waste their`s. Don`t call it unless there isn`t one already up or if the enemy has a counter spy plane up. Don`t always rely on the spy plane. In games like Headquarters, only call in the spy plane either when all team members respawn, or as the HQ is taken by your team. Your team may request a spy plane to call in airstrikes or mortar strikes. Do not deny them this service. Being able to see the enemy gives them a better shot a taking out more enemies, making the team`s life easier. Don`t be afraid to request a spy plane it you have something good. Remember, players with Ghost on can catch you off guard, as they do not appear on radar.
RC-X
Another 3 killstreak, this children`s toy from hell packs quite a punch. The blast radius is quite large and will generally kill everyone within range. The RC is great for stopping large groups of rushers in their tracks. The RC can be destroyed, so be sure to attack from the side or the rear, so the enemies cannot take out your RC. The RC is great for taking out emplacements too, such as a sentry gun. It is important that you find a good hiding spot when controlling the RC-XD. If the enemy finds and kills you, then your Sunday drive is over.
Counter-Spy Plane: A 4 killstreak, the counter spy plane blocks out the enemies` radars. They cannot see you when you fire or any positions on their maps. Many players rely soley on their map, so this killstreak can be devastating to some. Again, don`t waste it. Call it in when it is to YOUR TACTICAL ADVANTAGE. Has the enemy called in a spy plane? No problem, call in the counter to block their radars. It is also good in games like Search and Destroy. No silencer? No problem. Before attacking a bomb site, call in your counter so that the enemy cannot see you as you engage defenders.
SAM Launcher: Perhaps THE most underrated reward in the game, this 4 killstreak, air dropped weapon automatically engages air targets once set up. You should always have at least one player with this killstreak. Having a solid way to eliminate the enemy`s streaks drastically increases your advantage. As long as the SAM is online, enemy killstreaks stand no chance. No enemy helicopter presence will definitely make life easier. Be sure to keep it out of harm`s way. Placing it on the map`s outskirts is a good idea, but make sure it is not obstructed by buildings or any other object.
Care Package: A 5 killstreak, a helicopter will drop a random killstreak on the location you mark with a smoke indicator. This is always a gamble and may only give you a spy plane for 5 kills. Once it is dropped, it is for anyone that captures it. If you die and the enemy takes it, then you get nothing and your hard work benefits the other team. If you must have the care package, drop it away from the action on the map`s outskirts. This decreases your chances of getting shot up and getting your reward stolen.
Napalm Strike: This 5 killstreak sends an F4 Phantom jet to drop napalm over the desired area. This killsreak is devastating, catching all enemies within the blast on fire, killing within seconds. Use the strike to deter large concentrations of enemies that your team cannot seem to beat. If the enemy is taking an objective, then drop the airstrike on said position. This decreases the time it takes to stop them as opposed to running halfway across the map just in time to lose the objective. If possible, try to target choke points. The fire caused by the strike stays for a little while, stopping the enemy from advancing for a short time.
Sentry Gun: Unlocked at 6 kills, this auto mini gun is devastating. This is ideal for locking down objectives, roads, entrances or just watching your back. Stay close to the sentry. It is up to you to keep it safe from those that wish get a quick 100 point knife kill for killing the sentry. It can take damage, so don`t be afraid to place it on the front line.
Mortar Team: Another 6 killstreak, the mortar team allows you to call in brief strikes on 3 separate locations. Use this in concert with a spy plane. This is great for watching over multiple objectives. Is the enemy capturing all three points? Call in three strikes; one for each location. This is also great for taking out enemies attacking from different angles.
Attack Helicopter: At 7 kills, you can call in a Cobra attack chopper. Pick the center of the map to deploy it. This way it can engage all angles and directions. This is good for defending all of your positions, as the gunship can engage enemies at each. This is good for attacking as well. Enemies will be killed or distracted by it as they are torn to shreds, giving your team a chance to make a play for the objectives.
Valkyrie Rockets: Another 7 killstreak. These are shoulder-launched TOW rockets. Like the Predator from MW2, except you fire it from the ground. You are vulnerable when guiding the missile in flight, so pick a location with a clear line of sight, but well concealed. This good for taking out opponents either taking objectives, or causing issues for your team. Let`s say the enemy has a great location set up in a building and your team cannot get them out. Fire a Valkyrie into the building to clear them out instead. This is also perfect for countering enemy killstreaks, easily hitting choppers.
Blackbird: You`ve gotten 8 kills without dying, congrats, you can use your SR-71 Blackbird. This spy plane on steroids not only shows enemy locations and the direction they are facing, but cannot be shot down. Use this like you would the spy plane: WISELY. Spy plane rules are applicable here.
Rolling Thunder: The name is fitting. This 8 killstreak has a B-52 Stratofortress bomber graciously drop an enormous payload upon your foes. Use this to clear out entire map sector or very large groups of enemies. Use Napalm Strike tactics here. Only call it in when you can really benefit the team. Taking out an entire team guarding an HQ is a good start. DO NOT WASTE IT. Request a spy plane or Blackbird spot so you know exactly where to drop it.
Chopper Gunner: With 9 kills comes the Chopper Gunner. Allowing you to take the MG of and Huey helicopter gunship. This allows you to tear through enemies as the Chopper circles around. Use it to bolster an objective`s defenses, aid in assaults, or stop enemy groups in their tracks. Call this in only to help the team.
Attack Dogs: 11 kills huh? Aren`t we on a role... Unleash the dogs!! German Shepards will flood the Battlefield and rip apart any enemies that they can find. Dogs cause mass confusion among the enemies who run around widely or camp in an attempt to best these beasts. This will cause any team mechanic to grind to a halt and is best used at the beginning of a round or when your team is making a major move for an objective. This nets many kills and takes much of the burden off your team. Consider following the dogs around. They will often lead you right to enemies. What they don`t kill, you can finish off.
Gunship: The final killstreak. At 11 consecutive kills you will be able to fill the shoes of and Mi-24 Hind attack gunship. Be sure to find a good hiding spot before you fly. You are free to actively move and engage targets. That`s right, you are flying. This gives you an incredible advantage over the enemy. You can engage targets with your 1000 round minigun or two rockets at your discretion. It is possible to evade missiles and gunfire to keep in the pilot`s seat. Have your team call out targets for you in order to allow them passage to an objective or defense of an objective. You`re your team`s guardian angel, so keep alert and be attentive to what they say and where they request that you bring the pain.

FLAK JACKET:
Standard: Extra explosives resistance
Pro: Extra fire resistance and reset fuse when you throwback a grenade.
Challenges
Protected – Survive 10 explosions while using Flack Jacket.
Demolished – Plant or defuse 10 bombs in Demolition, Sabotage, or Search & Destroy.
Throwbacks – Throw back 5 enemy Frag grenades.
TIER 2:
HARDENE
Standard: Extra Bullet Penetration
Pro: Bullets do more damage to aircraft and turrets. Less flinching when shot

Penetration Kills – Get 10 kills using Hardened and shooting through walls.
Bullets in Aircraft – Shoot 200 bullets into enemy aircraft.
Equipment Shot – Destroy 1 piece of enemy equipment through a wall.

STEADY AIM:
Standard: Extra accuracy when shooting from the hip
Pro: Decreases weapon draw speed after sprinting. Recover faster from a knife lunge

TACTICAL MASK:
Standard: Protects against gas grenades
Pro: Reduces the effects of flashbangs and concussion grenades. Reveals position of a flashed or stunned enemy

Flash Kills – Kill 20 enemies that are blinded by your Flashbang.
Concussion Kills – Kill 20 enemies that are stunned by your Concussion Grenade.
Nova Gas Kills – Kill 20 enemies poisoned by your Nova Gas

As players increase their XP they progress through multiple ranks and levels. These ranks and levels give players access to more content such as new weapons, emblems, features etc. The highest rank a player can reach is 50. After a player reaches the rank of 50 then they are given the choice as to whether they wish to "Prestige". To prestige, it means that you basically start back over at level 1 and you lose all of your weapons and credits. Players do however get to keep their emblems. Players can Prestige 15 times and each time they do so they are rewarded with different items and also given a visual icon to show off. Below are the 15 Prestige Icons and what they unlock.
