Seriously! I have NO problem with the Galil or the Famas. This pattern will continue until all the guns are nerfed! I mean STFU and try using it too.....

The weapons are fine. /facepalm I could accept a change which removes Rapid Fire capability from some SMGs, but for the most part, the game is totally fine when it comes to gun balance. One word that the CoD community should understand is- Adaptation. Everybody makes such an issue over the smallest things in this game.

If you remove rapid fire from SMGs
They become pointless

As two ARs have the same rate of fire as SMGs
With more range , and decent hip fire why use a SMG.

If you think the weapons are fine in bops your fooling yourself. Anybody who plays bops for 5mins could tell you was a problem.

Stilll nice to see the famas with LMG ADS and hip fire now. Along with more random recoil which what it should have for a high ROF gun.

I've been playing Black Ops 24/7 for the last six to seven months; if someone were to tell me that the emphasis of the gameplay was placed upon Assault Rifles, I'd agree. But that is clearly traditional for Call of Duty...

Not all CODs MW2
ARs was not the best option for all fights
SMGs could beat them at mid range sometimes , close range owned ARs
LMGs also had a use so did snipes and shotguns

Also all the guns had strong points and weak points , which meant you had to learn how to use them.

Question is should ARs be so powerful in COD games ? Just because they was in past games ?
Also map design plays a role and etc

More to weapon balance then meets the eye. Sadly it a hard thing to balance and how to make all gun feel different enough so they have a use.

Willing to say that MW2 had better weapon balance and feel however more non gun kills and BS. Most of my deaths in bops come from guns.

We see how this nerf changes the game.
I hope it means we see less AR use because it a shame when more then 90% of weapons are not being used.

EXACTLY. This is why I rarely play solo. The same people who want guns nerfed are the noobs going 5-18 or splitscreen noobs making their teams lose. Some people can't adapt to players using silence weapons, Ghost or FAMAS. These are the bums giving up Blackbirds and Dogs crying about campers just because they are too terrible to stop a guy from killing them 3+ times from same spot.

Nerfing guns is like a high school cafeteria. Imagine if Monday and Tuesday's food was clearly better than the rest of the week. Wouldn't it make more sense to increase the food quality of Weds-Fri than to make Monday and Tuesday's food nastier?

The only great SMG in MW2 was the UMP. People who play sports games usually pick best team because they feel the need to matchup. I'm sure people want to use different guns but they are afraid if thet use the Kipiris, some FAMAS user will outgun them. Online gaming is full of people trying to pick the best teams, weapons available to fight fire with fire and because they're afraid of trying something different.
