(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was just wondering what everyone thought about this map. Personally I think it's one of the best Black Ops maps released. What are your thoughts?

Yeah I don't think having George following you the majority of the time is a big step-up, seems to be the problem if I'm honest. However I have a new tactic for Shangri-La now, you just camp round the water slide and whenever your in trouble just slide down it :p

Yeah I've done it sorry, there's loads of threads about it on NGU though. A lot of people are being recruited for it so just put your name down, that's what I did.

toughest map by far, i didn't think cotd was as hard as people thought, got to 40 easily on that map with someone else but shangrila is a total cluster f--k of epic sorts. A lot of things can go wrong and not many things right, due to how to tight and close quartered it is. In every map, there is a hotspot where there is ample room to kite zombies, but Shangrila doesn't really have a 'safe' spot to gather compared to all the other maps.

i've tried the room where the ak74u is located and the area outside with the mpl, but there's been times that i had to relocate and haul ass due to the napalm zombie or not being able make it through an opening due to it being so tight, there are many of spots where zombies can flank and cut you completely off. I have tried different strategies solo on this map, and it seems like treyarch really wanted us to play this map a certain way rather than how players wanted to. Mind you, imo, kiting is far better than running a long ass route from waterfall to geyser than rinse and repeat, because these circuits waste way too much ammo and it takes too long to complete later rounds.

The plus to this map is the easter egg has a nice reward for its completion, and is a nice way to get to high rounds if all four people do it but treyarch totally screwed up in doing so because it is not available if your not in a party of four. Also, this map is seems to be much easier with four players.

I agree with you about the 4 player part. We waited by the water slide. One person covering the barrier on the left of the water slide, 1 covering the gap in the wall and the ledge where zombies can hop onto on the right, then 2 players covering behind (preferably the players with the best weapons). Whenever there was more danger, we slid down, stood on the water pump thing, then ran to the mine cart Smile

After that we would wait for danger at the mine cart then take it. After that we would run back to our original position Smile
