They don't ban except for playing a sh*tload of backups all the time and they find out. There main way to stop you from playing backups online is just new updates. But on mine and many others hacked wii's there a program that blocks the updates so your console doesn't even check therefore allowing to go online all the time. I play every once in awhile with my "backups" all the time and nothing happens. Only problem about wii is the sorry graphics. And almost impossible to play fps without the extra attachment you have to buy.

The wii uses codes, as almost as if playing GTA on a ps2. You copy them to a SD card and copy it over and load it up through the gecko backup channel and select the option use codes and use correct directory and it loads it up just like a normal game.
