Well, people have been making things that its the IP Address or Mac Address or something. I know that it is none of these.

How i came to this conclusion:
First off... I changed my IP Address on the PS3 and the Mac address on Black Ops but i am still banned. Ive had a new internet router from a complete different internet company so everything is different and guess what, IM STILL BANNED. So there is nothing else left to do?.

What im thinking is that they are banning us like SONY console ban you, They get your PS3's Serial Code, and they ban that serial code from their Black Ops online Multiplayer Server and Zombies Online Server. So the only way around it is to get onto the other server for Black Ops that is about or find a way that you can change the Serial Code for your PS3 which will include a load of techinal stuff im thinking.. or the easier alternative option.. Buy a new PS3 .

Its definitely just the mac address.... The mac address can never change.. It is written onto the motherboard lol.. Getting a new router won't change it. A Mac address is like a name. It won't change.

Mac address people say that it changes when you put from wireless to wired or vice-versa.. but ive tried multiple other things other than that.

Mac adress is not written onto the mother board.. it is assigned to you once you connect to the internet.

Mac address is not assigned to you. The PC that you bought ALREADY has a MAC address. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE. Mac address is a unique name. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE! The only way to change it is to spoof it, which still doesn't change it. Also in contrary you NEtwork card/adapter has the mac address already made into when it is in the factory. PS3 Mac address will never change. Ps3 OS is part linux, and it is impossible to spoof. Argue more, I don't care. I'm a software engineer/architect. I think I would know. The basic use of the mac address is to tell the network who you are. Likw for example: 00-B0-D0-86-BB-F7
Which is like your name, it just tells the server blah blah blah is connecting. Then your network adapter sends requests to the server, and the server authenticates and sends back.. Do I need to explain any more?

nope wrong. u ever try going on your account on a friends ps3? ur still banned. derrr so buying a new ps3 wont fix the ban :dumb:

Depends bro.. If he isn't account banned, then he can log on. If he 15th glitched on his main, then yeah he would have to make a new account, but he wouldn't be mac banned..
