This is for PS3 only
If you know the LAN glitch, then you probably know the splitscreen glitch - it's basically the same apart from being able to have 4 players on splitscreen. ( Yes you can still do this with just 2 )
More often than not, you will get 2 vs 2. Sometimes if your lucky you will get 1 vs 3, but unlike using 2 controllers - you don't really get the controllers on the same team. So this is much better than normal.
TUT;
Pretty simple....... but do exactly the same process every time.
Have a friend, or 2nd ps3, sit in a player match lobby (party) with the privacy open.
Join him/her and back out.
Go to splitscreen and turn on your other 3 controllers but don't add them in to the lobby. ( you will add the other controllers while attempting to join )
Back out from the splitscreen lobby, highlight splitscreen and press triangle.
Find your friend or 2nd ps3.
Hit join, then rapidly tap X on all controllers.
The game should load saying the map name but no game type.

Test how long it takes to join your host first, then when you attempt the glitch, press join and start tapping the Xs just before you appear in the host's party. Technically, you are joining the party and starting the match at the same time.
This splitscreen glitch is better for people with 2 ps3s (or very fast connection) who have trouble getting the LAN glitch to work.
There are not any requirements to make the xp stick.
The match will end if the glitch hasn't worked properly, or you get kicked when selecting a class. Try again.
Yes, you should have your online custom classes.
When you're in the match, if your player freezes - hit O to un-freeze.
When you press pause to change weapon, sometimes it won't let you press X on "change weapon" so press start instead. ( the same goes for the start of the match )
If you cant un-pause, you must go in to options and press start to un-pause it.
If, for some strange reason, you want to leave the game - you'll notice that when you press " leave game", the yes/no option isn't visible. It's still there so just press up then X.
Take advantage and complete hard contracts and challenges.
As always, be careful and watch the leaderboards, play regular matches too to reduce the risk of banning.

EDIT: I have found that when using 4 controllers, you get a lot of server full messages. I don't know why this is, or how to fix it. It does not mean that it has been patched, it still works, as of tuesday 23rd of august 2011, after the update.

I have controller 1 on my lap, in my left hand. The other 3 controllers I sit next to me in like a fan shape and use 3 fingers to cover the X buttons.

I've known this for a long time, since the first time the splitscreen glitch was found. I kinda forgot about it, untill I was talking with rockym56 last night. I remember telling the original founder ( Escape The Fate - or The Snake as he was known ) that I did it with 3 controllers but I don't think he even tried it. So, I don't think anyone was made aware of this, unless they figured it out for themselves.
