There is a reason why Microsoft gets everything before ps3 for Call of Duty first. It's because they paid Activision rather Sony wouldn't and they spend their money on exclusives. The contract with Microsoft and Activision is up in 2012. Knowing Microsoft, they will just sign another contract.

I don't think that PS3 users can even verify their PSN IDs. An error shows up saying that the info could not be verified. And yes, the password is correct.
