You hit the box, or for 1200 you can hack a box location that doesn't actually have a box there.
600 points to reroll the weapon the box offers.
Then on that second weapon it's free to hack again except this time the gun won't change into a new one, it will kind of glow and this means ANYONE can come pick up that glowing weapon. I did this earlier while I had the QED's and the Gerch device popped up, I hacked the gersch device and my friend was able to pick it up so we could finish the EE.
