COSad Awesome Black Ops How To QuickScope!

Hey everyone, heres another one of my quickscope guides. This guide is going to show you the mechanics of quickscoping in Black Ops and how to be effective.

Introduction:
As you should know, Treyarch tried to take out quickscoping. They thought it was "cheap". I think it takes skill to do it to be honest, though. So now when you aim in, you get a sway thats equivalent to when you lose your breath. What does that mean to you? Well, first off you won't be quickscoping effectively at first. You will need practice. You will need to learn the dragshot technique.

The Drag Shot:
This is a technique which takes time and reactions to master. What you do is aim somewhere around your opponent. When you scope in, wait till the crosshair is just about to appear. Then move it to the enemy and shoot. This should make the sway not matter. You have to remember that you have to do this really quick, or else its not a quickscope.

Use variable scope. Use it like you would at any other time. Low zoom for close ranges, ect. The bad thing about this is that the further you zoom, the less sensitive your crosshair is. So it will be hard to perform your drag shot. The higher sensitivity you get USE to, the better you can become. The less you move, the more accurate you are as well.

Now at first, if your use to MW2, you will try to zoom in and shoot real quick. That just doesn't work in BO. At close ranges it may, but its like you have a small spread when you do that.

How To Become Effective:
Now you won't be good at this from the start. You need to practice. Try and practice the technique before you actually try quickscoping. So when you first practice, try and zoom in, then drag shoot as fast as you can without missing horribly.

Combat Training:
This is a great way to practice the technique of the quickscope. Aim in around the bot and do the drag shot. Once you get better you can try quickscoping them.

Private Matches:
These are definitely the funnest way to get better. Invite a couple of friends to a quickscoping match and have fun. This is how you will become really good unless you enjoy quickscoping bots all the time.

You don't have to use Variable Zoom. I honestly prefer the Reg scope. Also, I use Flak Jacket, Steady Aim, and Tac Mask, and I'm consistently going positive and have a 40% accuracy with the L96.

Quick scoping and drag scoping are pretty much the same.

no they are not. a quickscope is putting your crosshairs on a person and scoping in. you shoot as soon as your crosshairs come together. a drag scope is where you zoom and drag your crosshair to the player.

"pretty much the same" They are both done very quick, and "zoom and drag your crosshair to the player" is a very vague description, and could also mean a hardscope. Some people also will consider a drag scope a quickscope.
