Try rebooting the game, .cfg mods temporarily block if you try to use a cheat.

A few things to try: Make sure you have his EBOOT in the patch. Make sure the EBOOT is for your game code. Make sure your using your back-up and not the disc. Double check you have all the files for the back-up you might have deleted something needed... I hope you get it working again. I know how it feels not being able to get this shit working. Im having the same problems, i have the 1.02 patch i replace the eboot with the modded one. and then i put the CFGs inside the My Black ops Directory, on my extrenal. and i run the game and all i got it Kino so i load Kino and "NO MODS"
Idk if i even have the right 1.02 patch i downloaded one that says BLUS But it could be BLES So could anyone help me please

Well i back up with gaia manager and boot with gaia manager ?

i used your .cfg's and eboot, i got blackscreen im BLUS does it not work on BLUS

I will tell you what happened to me ,i switches to BLES to BLUS then i got a black screen & so on .+ My cgf did not work either .I fixed mine i deleted my black ops data+saved game & installed the patch again with a few debug files +retail a custom v1.05 patch i manually created ,for me. Then i copied the bind BLES eboot in hddo_dev/game & it worked again , it has to do with changing certain eboots .If you change from BLES to BLUS or max88,changing one to another the data gets screwed up ,i am guessing ..That is how i fixed ,my Black screen ,this happened 3 times to & i fixed it every time now =I know what causes this .So it is a easy fix.
My original disc is BLUS30591 But i am using the BLES & i just leave it alone ,cause i am tired of fixing it after that happens..
