First of all It's a EBOOT mod, and not a patch.

To play online, you'll need the latest black ops patch, that means a updated eboot. My point is that you can't join someone with a different EBOOT.

Im not sure of this, and I may be wrong. Don't flame me if I am.

sorry that my question wasn't clear,what i ment was:
on the retail ps3 put the 1.02 patch via data transfer,and not the modded eboot.
on the cfw ps3 you put the modded eboot and also 1.02
then you can join i think b-cause the playlist number left in the upper of the television.. are the same.
only what i don't know 4 shure iff you can play without doing the game uodate to 1.13 (when it ask yust pres no)
then you are logged in on your main acc on the retail ps3,and mayby you can join a Cl on the cfw ps3 thru Lan?
