Even with the release of much loved Gears of War 3, black ops has still been top of the online play list on xbox live.

Many people were excited for the release of the next Gears Of War installment, but the chart shows the amount of players who took the game online, is still below black ops, even after the game was released al most a year ago.

The amount of Gears fans couldn't over-throw the leading title, Black ops. But why is this?? You would expect within the games release, many player would be heading towards the game and its online play,including co-op and haude mode, but black ops multiplayer is still going strong.

Do you still play black ops as much as you did when it first came out??
Are you surprised its still in the #1 spot a year on??

It managed to over take modern warfare 2, but not black ops. here is the top 10 last week....

Black Ops is Call of Duty. I'm sure that that's the biggest (FPS?) game franchise. Now watch as BO crumbles under MW3.

I still play BO very regularly (10+ hrs a week). Still rape, still loving it. Pumped for MW3 though

I stopped playing Black Ops, not because it sucks or anything but I just got bored. Now I'm only playing FIFA 12 till MW3 comes out.

yeah same here, probably even more than 10 hours :p

im gonna be playing it till like a week before mw3 comes out, then im gonna go back to mw2 to get back into the modern warfare feel if you get what i mean Smile

I dont know what people see in gow? its just people using a cover system to camp behind cover and use a shotgun, the campaign doesnt make to much sense to me. Its like socom4 which is not socom

Who am I kidding, when I think about it it's more like 15-18hrs
a week.
