Well I have a few theories.
Number 1
They got to area 51 through teleportation so that means that they could teleport through time because at the begining of Keno der toten you see the years changing on the loading image so that means rictofen can go either 1.Go back in time or 2.into the future or 3. stay present.
Number 2
If you watch the animation during the easter egg of the earth blowing up you notice only one section of earth was destroyed meaning the richtofen wanted one side gone and the other there to finish more of his "studies"
The reason i began to think this way is because i watched the zombies portion of call of duty XP and when one of the people asked the question "will we be seeing future zombies?" And one of the team member screams YEAH whilke the other's try to shush him.

There wouldn't be any more map packs for Black Ops, so new zombies would only be on a new game.
