You can get banned from any game if you exploit/mod it in any way. There's always a risk, but yeah, as for black ops, many people have been banned for doing the save mods.

Yes you can get banned on black ops, and sometime they will ban you the minute you get into a party...happened me 1st time I tried it banned before I even searched for a game...But yet im on another account a week and no ban its al about luck I guess

I actually got perma-console banned, probably because I made like 12 accounts to host on :lol: here's my thread: You must login or register to view this content.
You might not get console banned like I did, but you will get account banned, so I wouldn't risk it if you still play black ops sometimes.
