download a copy of black ops online and FTP it or transfer it using USB and Filemanger (multumans or comgenies) and run it that way. it should work with BDemu set in multiman. then do what you need to do.and delete the game once you are done but leave the gamedata stuff which would have the patch and eboot ect. on the hdd the backed up game will be under

dev_hdd0/GAMES/bles/blus ect00000/

leave the
dev_hdd0/game/bles/blues00000/ folder as is that is where game data is sent.

anyone else chime in and correct me if i am wrong. i have not applied any patches this way in a long while but that sounds like the only option to me.

he doesn't have the patch installed yet because he hasn't used black ops in the broken blu ray (that's what i figured)
so to install it and run/check it ect he would need to run the game first wouldn't he?
i'm not 100% on these things also i dont even know what the hell xploader is i haven't looked it up yet. been away from the ps3 scene for a while gotta catch up all over again lol

i thought with the tut he linked you had to run the game make it freeze, restart then replace the eboot then data transfer?
i thought he wanted to install a modded patch not the stock 1.02?

The patch isn't modded its stock, and that process is to make a game save but he can just get a pre made one

i read up a little on it i thought to make the game save it has to be under the same username+psn name as the person who made it. must have interoperated it wrong.
i should read through the forum a little. find out about this resigned game save deal and all the other stuff i've missed out on.
