Post: Thoughts on these console unban methods for 3.55!?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello,

From my knowledge Sony bans your console either with a MAC address ban or the console ID ban.
I am not banned from the PSN this post is just for peace of mind and knowledge if any of these two methods are possible as i have not tried them just had a little thought and got curious.

MAC address changing.
The MAC address of any hardware device is hardwired into the ROM when the device is created. But it is possible to change the MAC to some degree as software controls any hardware component. I would like to verify if this would work as i have not tried it just speculating.

1) Install the PKG File Chaos Air Bringer.pkg and insert a USB flash drive into your PS3.

2) Run Chaos Air Bringer and save your original MAC address.

3) Create a new MAC address on your computer editing the original file from the home brew and save the file "mac.bin"

4) Copy the "mac.bin" file to your USB flash drive.

5) Insert USB flash drive into your PS3 and Run Chaos air Bringer .

6) Now turn off your PS3 and then turn it back on .

7) On your XMB go to "System Settings - System Information" and check your MAC address. I believe it will have changed.

Cool Man (aka Tustin) Use FuckPSN to get online on your 3.55 and sign on PSN.

PS. If the mac.bin file can change MAC on a software level why cant it be data transferred to a 4.25 PS3 replacing the "mac.bin" file?

Console ID Changing
This is the other method i would like to go over, many people speculate that Sony do not ban your IP or MAC address but it is the console ID which gets banned. This method could possibly be an anti-ban or unban method apparently you can completely remove your console ID and just sign in.

Within your PS3 there is a file called "auth" which stores your username, password and console id.

This is what the request file looks like:

x's are just me protecting my info

type=0&
serviceid=IV0001-xxxxxxxxx_00&
loginid=xxxxxxxxxxxx%40yahoo.com&
password=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&
first=true&
consoleid=0000000xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx00000000 000000000000000000000000

To get your console id have Charles running with the ssl and all that stuff

"Charles" is the software you can access this data.

Sign in and on charles you will see two new files

Click on You must login or register to view this content.

Then /nav

And lastly auth

When you click auth, info should appear on the right click request and you should see your console id to copy it right click on auth and save request then open it and look for consoleid=0000000xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx00000000 000000000000000000000000

That's your console id to change it go to tools, rewrite and if you have it set up you should already see the stuff to edit the header so click on PS3 3.55 then you should see 2 boxes.

On the bottom box, click add, then where it says type make it body. make sure only request is selected. make the first value is your console id, example the first value would be consoleid=0000000123456789012345678901234500000000 000000000000000000000000

And the second on is the one you want it changed to and where it says "where" make sure request is only selected.

Example of the second value is consoleid=0000000987654321098765432109876500000000 000000000000000000000000

You can only change it to a valid console id, cannot be random or just left blank.

Apparently Sony bans the console ID and if you use charles and send a black console ID you can still sign in and since the console ID doesn't go to sony because you send a blank value they can't ban your number, also some people tried this that were banned from black ops and they were able to play again because thats how black ops had banned was by the console ID but I don't know if this works.. maybe someone that is already banned should try this and post their results.

Thats it for the post, comment with your thoughts and if you know for sure if its the MAC or console ID that Sony ban and if either other these methods would work as i have no reason for trying them completely.

Thanks.
