(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my friend works at Target and can get access to games early since her boss knows nothing about video games. She was able to get NBA 2K14 3 days before release.

Well I'm tempted to cancel my Gamestop preorder of COD Ghosts and just get it from her the Friday before November 5th. Downside to this is I wouldn't get the preorder bonus map. Although I think Target pre orders don't come with Free Fall. I also plan on being in line at 6am November 15th to get a PS4 since her store doesn't have midnight launch...I wouldn't dare think I could get that early of course lol.

My question is I know some of you guys have gotten games early including COD games, so can you get banned? I would imagine you wouldn't since the servers would be up and since IW doesn't really ban for anything honestly lol. I think no but her brother says you could get banned.

I would only get it early to really avoid having to wait in line plus not going to lie wouldn't mine getting to know the game early lol. Yes I am a douche. So what has happened to you all that have gotten previous COD games early and what's the earliest you have ever gotten your hands on a game?

Thanks for the responses fellas. I didn't think it would be bannable especially on PS3 but thought I'd check. Getting it at least sooner than midnight November 5th is a win for me since I could avoid the damn lines and already have my no life survival kit ready ahead of release(Mountain Dew, Dorito's, White Castle's and shame)

It would be pretty stupid if they banned you because someone sold you the game early.

I don't care what anyone says, you can't get banned for playing games early, in early i mean actually having the retail/promo disc and if in the very rare chance you are banned you can prove you have it and aren't pirating it.

So yeah cancel that pre-order an get it from her.

Followup question guys. Obviously I know Gamestop would have Hardened Editions but with next gen coming I don't care about that this year. However, the main benefit of preorder was that Free Fall Map. I know Nuketown 2025 last year came via a download code in the game. So I'd presume Ghosts will do the same. That being said if I get the game early from Target couldn't I just make sure I get one of the pre ordered copies to insure I get the DLC bonus map?

The map obviously isn't dealbreaker especially since it will probably not be in the Ground War playlist anyway and will be released eventually to everyone anyway.

I went in store and brought the game for my Bro and it came with the preorder bonus, I think it's just a set amount or the first lot that are the preorder bonus ones. You should be fine going in the store to get the game but suppose preordering online will guarantee it

My plan is to keep my preorder than assuming I get Ghosts at least one day early I will call Gamestop and have my $10 preorder down payment take from Ghosts and put onto NBA 2K14(my first PS4 preordered game)
