Post: M16 - Holographic Sight - Increases Accuracy
02-03-2010, 11:16 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So the big question about the holographic sight in MW2 is what makes it different from the red dot ?

Well here's the answer:

- Zooms in slightly more

- On the M16 increases the accuracy to the standards of the FAMAS.

I've yet to discover more attachments that alter the stats of guns but if there is any more I will post in the future.

all guns are 100% accurate, if you point it at something it WILL hit it regardless of the accuracy stat. its even true with shotguns, except they won't do any damage and the shells have spread so far apart you'll never see a hit.

perhaps there is some weird glitch with the M16 but i prefer all guns with the red dot sight, its much better for accuracy and long range the holographic is for people that struggle to aim effectively imo, or people who run and gun alot and need to get the sight on target quickly.

It doesn't necessarily increase accuracy, it improves the spread of the burst.

FAL is un-accurate with the red dot, just like the SVT was..

ak47 + red dot is horrible. put the holo on there and it bounces beautifully.

Sometimes the chunkyness of the holographic site can get in the way, like if you are trying to headshot some one from far away, the dots may just cover the person. I prefer red dot unless it's on the Tar because it's ugly on that gun! :p

I have tried both out for awhile. I started out my playing career using red dot. I have now converted to holographic. I find it to have better range. It can be clunky at times in terms of getting headshots, but I still think the pros out weigh the cons.
