Post: Possible way to get CoD4 style hacks in multiplayer?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, after examining some files, I've found something which could work for CoD4 style hacks.
In GPAD0_CM.PRF, there is buttons_default and thumbstick_default. Now, I changed both of these to scr_airdrop_nuke "100" and then when I went in game, I tested Singleplayer and Spec Ops, then transferred back the file, and the commands stayed the same! In multiplayer splitscreen, however, I couldn't get an Airdrop nuke.

Do you think it's at all possible to change the commands to something like set or seta before them? Could we get CoD4 hacks in MW2?
I'll keep testing, for anyone else wanting to try this, the file is GPAD0_CM.PRF. If anyone wants to chat with me about this, my steam is You must login or register to view this content.
This is for PS3, NOT PC, I just use Steam as my main chat client.

Another possible thing is that GPAD0_CM is not loaded for splitscreen, which would explain why it didn't work there.

A good idea but i think because of the inability to bind such commands to a button, there would be no way of using them online. You could set up the command and it could be there but there would be no way of activating it i don't think.

I dont think IW are that stupid, they wouldnt leave the bind slot open to commands.

scr_airdrop_nuke "100" is a cvar, you cannot put a cvar in a config exec slot, thats why it didnt work.

Only "config" files work in exec slots, e.g. "butt0n_d3fault" that is a .cfg file.

All .cfg files have been disabled in CM except "butt0n_d3fault" "thumbstick_default" "legacy_default" etc..

Its all been updated from the Cod4 section.

IMO This is a good topic to be raised.

I tried making a file called "thumbstick_default.cfg" with hack commands in it, but it doesn't carry over to the PS3, and unfortunately, this is a PS3 issue, as PARAM.SFO or PARAM.PFD is blocking the file.

I'm still trying.

UPDATE:
The more I look at the files, the more they're making sense.
I'm going to find some way to exploit this.
