What he actually said was that you 'will get rewarded for prestiging' which you do, in exactly the same way you did in WaW w/ extra classes, as well as prestige challenges. IMO it's not enough, but this is what he said.

I wonder if there is something coming in the DLC. they did make improvements on W@W and COD4 in some respects. give them a little credit where it's due.

We can speculate on what those things might be, but until the DLC is actually released we won't really know what he meant
