What's the purpose of buying a game, that's worth 30-60$ Just to gameshark your way to the top, *or in mw2's case, usb copy&paste.* (lol.) I agree, It is fun to glitch, or even hack sometimes, *such as the 3 gun hack* but where is the excitement in going straight to 10th prestige and not even bothering to accomplish it on your own? Where is the satisfaction. From what i notice, plenty of gamers' De-prestiged. As you can tell, i'm con against it. But, What's your opinions?

To make my argument, on what my opinion is on this matter, even more convincing. I've taken into consideration, on how other people, just do not have the time. This is understandable. Although, in the long run, it may turn out that you have well over 15 days of game play, and you did it without the satisfaction. I myself, would be disappointed, in the fact that it should be legit, but then again.. No one will ever know you weren't legit. You also, have had your favorite gun the entire time, which is another reason, why people have hacked. In my opinion of course.

Haha, I enjoy hearing everyone's different opinions on the matter. I myself, can understand time related reasons. Since, rank does not have anything to do with how good you are, being legit or non-legit, matters little. I just wanted to hear different opinions on the matter.

If you think about it... it really doesn't hurt any one player. Those who boost to the top of the leader boards just has too much time on their hands. Again that doesn't show skills or anything

This is too true. The hackers who did it also use it for advertisement. They make it so they can advertise a mod agency.

I don't care how you rank. But please don't affect MY GAMEPLAY with it. Keep your pointless boosting and hacking/glitching/cheating to private matches and cage matches.

It may be fun for you to spend your 60$ to cheat, but it's not fun for alot of us who also payed 60$ for the game.

As far as the 10th glitcher's excuses here about not having the time or whatever. I find that funny, I could understand the motive if it was say levels in an RPG game where you actually got something for it. But what's the point of glitching prestige? I have a full time job too, and a girlfriend and I have kids... I managed to prestige twice and then stopped for quite some time now at 70 because I just don't feel like doing it atm.

But you all skip the actual point of prestige even being in the game design. Prestige should be like this: You rank up to 70, you unlock a bunch or all of the guns/attachments get a bunch of challenges and whatnot along the way to 70 and after. Then naturally you will become bored of the game being at 70 with all your defined classes that you always use, so you prestige and start over.. Now you need unlocks again for challenges so you can rank back up to 70 quicker. And what happens is you find yourself using different classes that you weren't using before and suddenly the game is interesting again... And the cycle goes on.. By the time you hit 10th with that method the next COD is out and you "prestige" once again.

So I guess I just don't see the reasoning in being 10th asap or instantly. You are only losing out, and are going to bore of the game quicker then the average legit gamer and thus get less out of your 60$. But I suppose that's your prerogative.

well in cod4 i got the game about 5 months after release, stayed at 70 and was pretty happy with it.
cod5 got to 10th, classes are nice but god was levelling up boring.
seriously it wasn't too bad on 5 as you could do it fairly quickly.
mw2 just takes even longer, its not that i don't have the time, i'd probably be 8th or 9th legit now but its the fact that, it takes so long for so little actual reward. I just got to 10th becuase i could, everyone else was, i'd have got there pretty soon anyway so why not just save myself time and enjoy the game?
now i'm focussing on mastering all weapons, 1 to go at the minute.

I too have time constraint issues, what with full time work, a partner (who can’t see the point in gaming) and a 2 year old, my time can be very limited.

I have a different outlook on the whole prestige thing though. I’ve gotten to level 70 (first time) and haven’t bothered to prestige yet, I don’t see the point at the moment. I’m going to stay at level 70 and just get as many of the achievements / emblems as possible then maybe I’ll prestige just for the hell of it.

Why be legit? , Just hack your way up there and boost it screw wasting your whole life sitting on Mw2 prestiging one at a time!.

Same here. at level 70 no prestige and working on just getting as many titles and emblems as i can before eventually prestiging( cant get all of em without it). As far as i know there's no hack yet for titles and emblems, so i actually feel rewarded when i unlock them.
