What do you think has the upperhand? The FAMAS or the M16?
Most people prefer the M16 due to it's popularity in COD4, but is that the only reason?
And what about the FAMAS? Is it an underestimated gun?
Both guns kill in one burst, but why is it that people prefer one gun over the other? Accuracy? Handling?
Discuss your opinions and thoughts here.
Here will be the list of the differences discussed between the two guns (not all may be true unless proven):
M16:
-less delay between burst
-looks more versatile
-better handling
FAMAS:
-faster fire rate
-less recoil
-shorter time between bursts
-better iron sights

A new set of sights are used, as the original sights are located in the carry handle (which has been covered by a Picatinny rail). The weapon has returned in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It behaves similarly to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with some small differences.
