ok so im sure many of you have called in an emergency airdrop or care package and the package lands outside the map. the thing that i found out was that you can still get it! but for it to work, it has to be just outside the map, not far away. ok so if it is just on the other side of a barrier i usually just go to the barrier and jump towards the package. usually, for a quick second, you can see a pop up that says "hold square for package" or something like that, what u normally see when u claim a care package. as soon as u jump towards it, hold down square and you should be able to get the package. sometimes the message doesnt pop up but it would still work. it can also work if the package is just above you. i called one in on sub base (or whatever that snowy map is called) and was on the roof of the building between a and b. it landed on the edge of that cover thing right above you. there was a block that i could easily jump on so i got on that, jumped up toward the package and held square and got the package.
i hope this helps you guys. go out and test it if you don't believe me. but remember it has to be JUST out of reach and you have to hold square right after you jump.
It is the most obvious thing to do, but most people just leave it, i got a ac-130 once because of someone just leaving it. But thanks for sharing, some people may not have known this.
this is quite old mate and has been posted on the forum before, then again i aint seen it posted for a while so there might be new people on here that aint aware i guess
