I do have those burn out times, but I always go back to the game and play with my friends from school. I recommend playing with some of your friends from school/work/college/etc. It completely relieves you of the boredom.

ya play with some friends me myself when i get bored i like to do elevators or when my friends are on i like to do some shotgun jumps

honestly i had more fun winning a tournament with a half star team on fifa than i have for a long time on COD ... even with my mates, its all getting to repetitive i need the new map packs .... BLEH

I not only got bored with MW2, but also fed up with it's constant annoyances. That game, imo, is a fail. Not a big fail, but big enough that I've had enough with it. IW had a chance to fix some of the minor and major problems with COD4, and they didn't. And then on top of that, managed to create some new ones. I applaud them for their creativity with the game, but the gaming experience of COD has devolved into an "arcade" shooter.
